Saving Content

Save useful sources from the extension, WhatsApp, and Website workflow.

Saving is the basic Treeved action. A saved item can include a link, title, page text, image, your note, highlights, and the Interest and Topic where it belongs.

What gets saved

  • The source link.
  • The title Treeved finds or the title shown in your browser.
  • A short page description or readable page text when available.
  • Your note.
  • Your highlights and thoughts on those highlights.
  • The save location once Treeved knows it.

Extension save

Use the extension when you are reading or watching something in the browser. The extension saves the current page and can include notes, highlights, and page activity such as whether the page is an article, video, or regular page.

WhatsApp save

Send a link to Treeved on WhatsApp. If you add text next to the link, Treeved saves that text as your note. This is useful when someone sends you a source on your phone or when you find something outside the browser.

Manual save

Manual save means you choose the Interest and Topic yourself. In the extension, users without automatic organization choose a location before saving. Paid users can also type /save in the note box to place a save directly.

Updates

If you save a source that already exists in your Vault, Treeved can update the saved item instead of creating a duplicate. The extension tells you when a save updates an existing item.
